Tyler Gold, Senior Tax Accountant, Wipfli LLP

Briefly tell us what you do: As a senior tax accountant, I spend most of my time working on compliance and strategic planning for our clients. I have been in the real estate industry for just over three years with experience in general real estate, but more of a specialty in opportunity zones and historic tax credit properties. 

Which project/professional accomplishment are you most proud of? The biggest thing for most accountants is getting their CPA, I achieved that almost a year ago. It took a lot of dedication and time to get that completed while working full-time.

How would you like to be more involved in NAIOP Wisconsin? I would like to be more involved through committee work, workshops, and anything that I can help out with. 

Tell us about your family: My family recently grew from two to three, my wife and I welcomed our first-born daughter Mila James in March and have been so blessed to be able to spend a great deal of time with her since. My wife just finished up going back to graduate school for her masters in early elementary education. Currently, we are just living life by our dog Rose and our 3 month old.

What is your favorite vacation destination? Bayfield, WI and Cononado,CA.

What is your favorite county or state park? Big Bay State Park on Madeline Island, WI. 

Cats or Dogs? Both, we have a dog and I am actually super allergic to cats but I had them as family pets my entire life.

What are your hobbies? I like to golf, paint and tinker with things.

What's the last book you read, or your favorite as a child and currently? I am currently wrapping up When, by Daniel Pink (interesting read).

Favorite series you binge-watched? My favorite to binge-watch is Yellowstone, excited for season 5 to be released.
