Name/Title/Company: Andrew Huss / Principal / Juan Gabriel Moreno Architects (JGMA)
Briefly tell us what you do, and length of time in the CRE industry: I’m a Principal with Juan Gabriel Moreno Architects (JGMA), focusing on community-driven developments that blend bold design with lasting social impact. In addition to managing projects from concept through construction, I lead business development for our Milwaukee office, building relationships and opportunities that align with our mission. I’ve been in the commercial real estate and design industry for over a decade, and I’m passionate about creating spaces that inspire, connect, and serve their communities.
What project or professional accomplishment are you most proud of?: One of the most rewarding aspects of working in architecture is partnering with community-based organizations to bring projects to life that benefit both their mission and the broader neighborhood. I’m currently working with the Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC) on their new headquarters, which will house several community-focused businesses with the goal of uplifting and supporting the Brighton Park community. In addition, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with several community-based organizations in Milwaukee that are making direct, positive impacts in their neighborhoods. More broadly, the accomplishment I’m most proud of is helping bring projects to life that strengthen and serve the communities around them.
How would you like to be more involved in NAIOP Wisconsin?: I’d like to be an active contributor to NAIOP Wisconsin’s mission by sharing ideas, connecting with fellow members, and collaborating on initiatives that move our industry forward. I see NAIOP as a powerful platform for exploring how innovative design and thoughtful development can strengthen communities while driving sustainable economic growth.
Tell us about your family: My wife and I have two pit bull rescues, and we love taking them on long walks.
What is your favorite quote?: “The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.” – Vince Lombardi
What is your favorite restaurant, and why?: Ristorante Bartolotta is a favorite for my wife and I because of its ever-changing menu and the opportunity to experience flavors from different countries.
What are your hobbies?: Outside of work, I enjoy restoring and improving our home built in 1909, fishing with my father whenever I can, golfing, and cheering on my favorite Wisconsin sports teams.
