Name/Title/Company: Colin Trautschold / Project Engineer / The Sigma Group

Briefly tell us what you do, and length of time in the CRE industry: I've been working in the CRE industry since the beginning of my professional career, which started in 2018. I've been doing civil engineering and stormwater management for the majority of that time, while also doing construction inspection. 

 What project or professional accomplishment are you most proud of?: The project I am most proud of is the current Heyday Oak Creek development. It took a lot of coordination between the City of Oak Creek along with other government entities to get approvals to start construction.

How would you like to be more involved in NAIOP Wisconsin?: I am currently in the DL All Star Program for NAIOP.

Tell us about your family: My parents (Vicki and Paul) live in Wauwatosa, WI, which is where I grew up. I have one sister that lives in Hartford, WI, with her husband and her two sons. I currently live with my girlfriend in West Milwaukee.

What music are you listening to?: I have been listening to a lot of Trance and House music.

What is your favorite restaurant and why?: Story Hill BKC - Its a great place for brunch and dinner, great decor and environment, the ingredients are always fresh, and the menu is always changing highlighting seasonal ingredients. I love the concept of the bottle room before or after you eat, where you can purchase bottles of beer, liquor, and wine.  

What is your favorite quote?: Good enough? Don’t be just good enough. Don’t be ordinary. Elevate the ordinary. Be extraordinary! 

Favorite foods at Summerfest and State Fair?: I always can go for a Gyro or ear of Corn at those festivals. 

What are your hobbies?: Hobbies include playing baseball at the rock (25+ League), skiing, kayaking/ fishing, camping, disc golfing, golfing, bowling, and softball.
