Briefly tell us what you do and how long you have been in the Commercial Real Estate industry: I am one of the owners of Crux, which is a Commercial Loan Brokerage firm. I've been in commercial real estate for over 20 years as a lender and owner.

Which project or professional accomplishment are you most proud of?: Recently, I orchestrated the financing for the Blatz Wash House sale. This had a ton of moving pieces, along with out of state borrowers. The buyer sold an almond farm to trade into a spec office building. We worked through nearly 25 lending institutions until securing financing with 1 at the 11th hour. While this was a highlight project, I'm equally proud of helping every one-off investor or operator secure real estate and non-real estate financing. 

How are you involved or would like to be more involved in NAIOP Wisconsin?: For the first few months, I would like to observe then potentially some level of an advisory role.

Tell us about your family: Married to Melissa Shneyder with 2 sons, Jackson and Dylan Shneyder. Melissa is a former banker of over 20 years and now owns her own branding & marketing company. She's active in the community and also the Executive Director of Gathering on the Green. This is a Mequon-based nonprofit organization that specializes in healing children through music. Jackson and Dylan are in 4th and 2nd grade, respectively. They golf, play basketball, tennis, swim and love to travel with us. 

What is your favorite quote?: Unknown Author Quote: "The difference between an amateur and a professional is an amateur does it until they get it right. A professional does it until they can't get it wrong."

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?: Ran into an NBA player in AZ over Thanksgiving with the kids. I asked him if he wanted my autograph, by accident. He laughed at least!

What music are you listening to and what was the first concert and last concert you attended?: I listen to all genres. Mainly hip hop, classic rock and reggae. Definitely lighter on country . Ha. 1st Concert - Billy Joel. Last Concert - Wu Tang. 

What’s something about you most people don’t know?: I have traveled to nearly 50 countries. 

What is the best Halloween costume you have ever worn?: The Man in the Yellow Hat when our older son was Curious George.

What is one item you cannot live without?: Staying active or working out.
