New Member Spotlight - Tim Kinney, Healthpeak Properties, Inc.
Name/Title/Company: Tim Kinney / Analyst - Investments & Portfolio Management / Healthpeak Properties
Briefly tell us what you do, and length of time in the CRE industry: Over the past six years, I have served local teams in acquisition and development projects. Since February 2022, I have worked for Healthpeak Properties (f/k/a Physicians Realty Trust) in the Investments department. Post-merger, I now assist our Investments & Portfolio Managment teams in acquisitions, developments, and dispositions of outpatient medical and life science properties.
What project or professional accomplishment are you most proud of?: I am proud of the work our team has done over the past few months by merging two multi-billion-dollar portfolios. We have combined two great teams and platforms that will allow us to continue to serve our tenant partners in healthcare discovery and delivery.
How would you like to be more involved in NAIOP Wisconsin?: Being surrounded by a family of educators, I am acutely aware of the importance of continual education. I hope to learn best practices, habits, and experiences of current and emerging local leaders.
Tell us about your family: I grew up in the charming small town of Spring Green in southwest Wisconsin but have called Milwaukee home since early 2020. I am the son of two educators and naturally found myself engaged to one. My fiancée and I are residents of downtown Milwaukee and can often be found exploring the Third Ward and Walkers Point neighborhoods.
What's your favorite restaurant and why?: I'm a frequent visitor of Camino on 2nd Street, and they never disappoint. Their neighbor, Morel, is one of the best restaurants in Milwaukee.
What is your favorite book?: My favorite book I've read was Truth Worth Telling by 60 Minutes anchor, Scott Pelley. Scott Pelley is a born storyteller, and I had the privilege of listening to Scott share his experiences at a conference last year. His book shares powerful and humorous stories of his time in the field. It's a great read.
What is your favorite vacation destination?: Ireland.
What music are you listening to and first and last concert attended?: I'm usually listening to country or classic rock. My first concert was Luke Bryan at Summerfest a decade ago. My most recent concert would be Tim McGraw at the Fiserv Forum in April.
Favorite county or state park?: Growing up in Sauk County, I have to go with Devils Lake.
